Thes lab offers students hands-on exposure to EPA approved water and wastewater quality testing procedures.
This lab system consists with state-of-the-art gas chromatograph, UV spectrophotometers, turbidimeter, COD reactors, BOD incubators, pH meters, dissolved oxygen probe, digital titrators, bacterial incubators, Conductivity meters and other equipment dedicated to water and wastewater quality analysis.
The lab system enables students to apply many experiments and activities such as:
- Determine the PH of the given sample of sewage.
- Determine total solids of the given sewage sample.
- Determine the total dissolved solids of the given sewage sample.
- Find out total settleable solids of the given sewage sample.
- Determine total suspended solids of the given sewage sample.
- Find out the quantity of dissolved oxygen present in the water sample by Winkler’s method.
- Determine biochemical oxygen demand exerted by the given wastewater sample.
- Find out chemical oxygen demand of the waste water sample.
- Study various sanitary fittings
