We supply an integrated analytical chemistry training lab system covers basic skills techniques needed for analytical measurements like mass and volume measurements, quantitative transfer and calculate the concentration of an analyte in an unknown sample. The lab system enables students to apply a variety of experiments and chemical reactions like precipitation, acid-base, complexation, and oxidation-reduction for the quantitative analysis of three or more certified unknowns, and learn about instrumental methods such as absorption spectrophotometry, gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)
The training lab of analytical chemistry enables students to apply many experiments and activities such as:
- Conductivity titration
- Volumetric redox titration: Cerimetry
- Titration of a polyvalent acid with a strong base
- Potentiometric pH titration (phosphoric acid in soft drinks)
- Titration curves and buffering capacity
- Electro gravimetric determination of copper
- Chromatographic separation processes: thin-layer chromatography (TLC)
- Chromatographic separation processes: Gas chromatography
- Column chromatography – separation of leaf pigments
